Some folks have reported some difficulties in installing Cincom® VisualWorks® on more recent versions of MacOS.

Here is how to resolve this particular issue: When trying to open the MacOSX.app the system reports “Unidentified developer”

FIX: Use Control-rightClick on the MacOSX.app, then open (open in menu) to run the app.
